Today is 11:11
Running a blog to document my small business and life endeavors, while still operating my regular day to day activities, I find that life gets a bit busy; where on that note, I admittedly did not plan very well for the arrival of November 11th.
I am not a heavy, heavy believer in the intangible things, nor do I pay close attention to when the stars align and when they don’t, but I still do believe. Whether you call it the cosmos, the universe, the divine, the ‘force’ (like Star Wars), I do like to put a little faith into it and believe that it somehow does exist.
My initial thought was to sit down today and journal out a bunch of affirmations that have been speaking to my heart. I thought that taking this quiet moment to reflect on my thoughts and feelings would be enough to somewhat participate in this thing called 11:11, until I found this 12 wishes ritual online.
In a nutshell, you write 12 wishes in the form of an affirmation on 12 separate pieces of paper. Affirmations could be sentences like, “I am living a full and abundant life” or “I am a money magnet”. After completing your wishes, you individually fold up the pieces of paper and place it in a box or jar. On 11/11 or the next day, select a paper without opening it. You affirm out loud to the universe that you surrender whatever that wish is and then safely burn the paper. The year 2025 has been very kind and generous to me. I’ve learned a lot this year, in all areas of life, work, school, relationships/friendships; as well as I’ve received lots of blessings that I admittedly forget about from time to time and need to remind myself with a quick kick of gratitude. As I try not to be greedy for next year, I can’t help but overflow with excitement and curiosity to see what I achieve and attract in 2026. The main areas that I will be focusing my affirmations around are health, wealth, and happiness.
